Well I couldn’t possibly be more thrilled that Helmut ate a strawberry if I TRIED – although I personally think if he’d grown horns or hair on his shell or an extra leg or something it would be MORE exciting than him eating a strawberry BUTTTTT – obviously your Mom is excited so I guess we can be excited too. I guess you didn’t get any because of the dreaded diet? Darn!

yes, you’re right. If a dog eats a strawberry, that’s a news, because we are carnivores. And that tortoises are anyway weed-eater, so why they shouldn’t eat strawberries? Seems I have a rival in my crib ….
Sarge’s mom had a Turtle/TORTISE… and her name was KILLER… Killer Loved Strawberries and BlueBerries and Wally MELON… and an occasional Earth Worm.
We are GLAD that HELLMUT got a Bright RED STRAWBERRY.
oh boy, I’m glad his name is just Hell-mut and not Killer hahahaha. But that’s cool, a tortoise named Killer :o) We had no clue that he likes strawberries, he said “NO” to apples, pears and cucumber, so mom was so eggsided she found something what he really likes (he is a picky eater)
I can show that to the vet and get a prescription! Thanks Easy, I knew you’d come through. Green beans are a lot less expensive than the “natural” stuff the vet sold me (155 US, €114 )
awwww… I agree ( I had beans today!). Imagine how much beans we could buy for that green papers, wow! And beans are natural too, even the bean-gas is natural :o) I know natural stuff is very expensive. Last year I got a med what was 132 euros. Mom said she dislikes that they torture me with such chemical bombs and she would prefer a more natural med (because she was anyway on the rocks and thought it’s cheaper). The vet said, yes, that’s possible, no problem: 185 euros. but at least it was with beef flavour :o)
I want to see Helmut try to eat an acorn next.

Ugh. Now I feel like eating some green beans. And some strawberries. And I miss my turtle called Leave-The-Turtle-Alone who also ate strawberries and watermelon and never shared. Did Helmut share with you, E.?
