FRESH-NEWS FRIDAY
First we got an information about the pups who visted my crib on sunday in the evening:
the have a home an owner.

Then, yesterday Hell-mut finished his hibernation. The timing was as bad as always, because the staff hasn’t finished the tortoise area. They said it’s my fault… PFFFFFF… just because I grabbed the box with the grass seed and distributed it everywhere before the staff could sow it at Hell-mut’s new place…

Now one of the bipeds has to drive to the city again to buy a new box with this grass stuff.

Speaking of shopping: yesterday, as my mom bought my food and some useless things as always , she discovered some special dog treats in the store. They had pig legs and goat legs what were dried and sold as dog chews. Mom told dad that she couldn’t buy it with good conscience, because there was no information about the country of origin on the package and we heard a lot scary things about bad dog treats. And it’s impossible to buy that stuff with Bacon and Cocco in her mind.
Dad said, uh come on, cut me a break… he (that’s me) is a dog.
So mom asked me: Am-I-right-do-you-want-a-greenie???
Before the mean couched question reached my brain, the greedy guy what lives in my stomach said: YES!

I have no clue about my mom’s conscience, think it’s probably such a thingy:

Mom examined the recycled food today (bet she tried to get some seeds hahaha) to make sure I will not become a Weed-eraner :o) At least the pups are not alone, hope the owner would be more responsible… just a little bit.
Bwahaahah poor mum on poop CSI canine S*..T inspection…could be a new show….make some wonga buy a van travel around in style! and yes I hope the owners are more responsible too Easy…no pups should wander where they could be hungry or hurt….
oh great idea…. I could buy the ole ride of the Ghost Busters and call it Compost Busters :o)

The owner said they sometimes run away but they always come back, so it’s ok for him. (uh, maaaaan) I love Greenies, wish they would make them as big as trees :o)
sorry to say, but running away sounds crazy, and with no collar sounds crazier….. but what can you do- some people just don’t get it. Unlike your mom buying you greenies and keeping pillows and boxes on hand too 😉
it’s dangerous for the dogs and for people too, specially for kids, because the two pups are not really friendly. I hope the owner will change his mind…..it would be sad, if the dogs had to pay the price for the indifference of this guy

I eat no grainers made in the US also Old Mother hubbard made in the US, my mom is very careful what she feeds me.. Your mom sounds like a good momwithoutpaws
the treats were a little fishy, no information about the content, just the price tag. Seems that this kind of bargain can be expensive and dangerous at the end. so we better buy greenies :o)

OMCs I was so worried I would not be able to come by today.
Our interwebs would not work first thing this morning. Mom said she rebooted it several times. I told her to boot it to the curb…but she left it alone while they went to breakfast and wa la it is working.
Fort Macon is open to visitors. They have a beautiful visitor center with lots of info and
then you can go down into the fort itself. Mom has some pics of inside it you would like she can send some to you.
MOL MOL MOL HELL-mut cracks us up. I think I might have the same monster living inside me that you do.

oh that would be great Madi! Mom loves historic things, that’s the reason she married my dad :o) That Monster inside is a sneaky thing it leads me to a lot of mischief, that thingy needs a leash and a muzzler :o)
You did a great service. The tortoise run wasn’t the only bare spot in your yard. You just ran out of seed before you got to Helmut’s place.

Our problem with Greenies is that they are pretty spendy and gone in about a second. They are a rare treat for us.
That’s true :o) Mom saw they only had one package in the store, so she took the whole thingy and got big eyes at the checkout counter :o)

I think you did a nice job of grass seed distribution Easy – too bad your efforts weren’t appreciated. I bet Hel-mutt will like his new “yard” however it looks…..Good for you scoring a greenie or two also! I’d say you had a GOOD day!

I think so, Sammy :o) At least the work in the garden was done in zilch :o) And if you ask me, it’s anyway to cold outside for the tortoise, so there is no hurry with the grass :o)

Hell-mut is adopted too. We sadly know not much about this guys. It was a little scary that he slept for three months, my mom was very nervous the whole time. But it seems he is well now and back to life :o)

I am so glad that you let us know those lost dogs found their person and home again! Helmutt must be waking up for spring and I am careful about what treats I buy too. 🙂
Sometimes we really should be careful, I think some stores only want to make money, they don’t look for quality or inredients before they sell it.

I agree, Eva, Greenies are great! Sadly they are rare in stores here, fortunately my mom was there to buy all what they had :o)
Glad the pups have a home but I wish the owners would keep them there or on leash because I don’t want them to get run over! Hell-mut is cute, I think our turtles think it is still too ding dang cold to come out. Just as well cause they always want to cross the roads here in Missouri and that does not turn out well for the box turtles!
I hope he will do something for his dogs. It’s dangerous when they are alone outside. Hell-mut is a little tired too, but he enjoys the first days of spring. A couple of years ago we had a campaign where they made “toad-tunnels” here that this guys can cross the roads. maybe it would help for the turtles too :o) btw: I wish we had turtles here too, we tried to buy a friend for Hell-mut, but I had no clue about the prices :o)
Lady is careful what we eat too. It is sad when other people don’t.

I think your a great grass layer. Greenies are nummy. Hope those stray dog owners do a better job at taking care of there furchildren. I think you would make a great weekend inspiration. I hope the owner of this dogs will act better now. It’s so sad how some people treat their dogs….

Hey, I thinks you did a FABulous service EAsy! After all, burdies ‘seed’ by poopin’ all overs, right?! So when you do your business you’ll be ‘seedin’ the lawn! Thou, there will be a lot of big ole ‘land mines’ your peeps will have to navigate, butts i thinks it’s worth it. What’s a little poop on the shoes when there is a lawn to be made?!
Oh, and I LOVES those Greenies!!! WoooHoooo!! They are mighty tasty fursure, and they don’t upset my ‘delicate’ system!! hehehe

Greenies are fabulous, but they are to small :o) But you can eat tuna and that’s anyway the best. Mom promised me a trip to da greatest tuna harbor in summer, maybe I can send you a whole tuna-guy!
