THUNDEROUS THURSDAY
Today I heard dangerous noises in the morning. First I thought it’s the next big bang or a Boeing landed in my street… butt as I looked out of the window I saw only the street-guys. Yes! THEY ARE BACK!

With caterpillars and a jackhammer. They dig up my street again.

.
Because… last year they surfaced the street including the sewer covers. Therefore we have venetian channels when we get rain. Instead to buy a boat for every nose in my village ( for me a Codecasa Gianetti please!) they decided to remove the tarseal again… yeah why not, they finished it in december 2013, so I think it’s time for a makeover…  the noises are super  awful butt

hey, you wouldn’t believe what a fabulous smell came out of the open sewerage…

that’s like an opium den for dogs….and I think I’m a little baked now… my mom should take a sniff too, she is totally unrelaxed and pissed for the taxpayers money they waste as if there were no tomorrow. Butt at least we have our own aromatherapy spring now in front of my crib and maybe our kraal  will become cult status as a sanitarium, who knows? My dad is more coolly, of course he was on the other end of the leash as I’ve got my kef, he said, they Mayor should better  hang up the brandnew 5k bucks christmas illumination that no one lands in the underground and that’s that…

No street work here…everything is frozen and/or under snow and ice. I bet that was a glorious smell…can you sense my jealousy?

  2. Goose says:

Hummmm, why did they wait so long for a street makeover? I mean it’s been a long 2 months. Glad they added the benefit of glorious smells to your street. That is really high tech.
    Blessings,
    Goose

  3. We never understand why those people like to dig a hole in the middle of the road, cover it up and then dig it again, then cover it up and then dig it again. This happens to us very often too. It seems those people are so free that they have nothing better to do in life but my mom says her pockets are burnt every time whenever those people come.

  4. DailyMusings says:

oh those street workers- I wish we had some here because the streets are not streets they are just pavement with holes- millions of potholes- it is like an obstacle course to drive.

  5. they are going to be VERY busy here in the USA over summer as so many roads have been damaged with all the snow and ice. What we don’t understand is why they have to close the entire road to 5 miles to fix a 1 foot area???

  6. Eww. I am so sorry for your humans. That is gross.

  7. Brian says:

Those street humans are always tearing up something Easy. We are very worried about dear Nylablue.

  8. PigLove says:

WOW – government waste at its best. We have the same here on so many different levels. Unbelievable. I love how we both think that we still lap babies. I don’t know what the humans mean when they tell us we are too big for that. Big is not in my vocabulary at all – snorts.
I did speak to Nylablue a bit last night. She ate a little something and was going to get some rest. Going to the doctor today. Hope she is feeling better this morning.
    XOXO – Bacon

    • Brother, I always say their lap is not big enough ( and that’s not my problem) hehehehe. It’s a shame what they do with our wonga, someone should give them Mayor spanky for that. We could do better things with this money than to work on a street for centuries. I cross my paws for Sehrri-Ellen and her Nylablue, hope Dr. Dave found a way to help her.

  9. Kyla says:

It will keep happening as long as everyone pays up silently.

  10. Coccolino says:

Smelly noisy street work? Sounds like a disaster but it’s a good thing there is a yummy smell, for your nose anyway 🙂 Too bad for everyone else though. We are thinking of sweet Nylablue. You cuddle up now.

  11. We don’t have sewers where we live, we have septic tanks and our neighbor had to clean his the other day…WOW talk about glorious smells. It permeated our whole house. Mom wasn’t too happy, but we sure were!

  12. Shiva & Jaya says:

    Did it smelling like fishies?

  13. OMD Easy, NOOOOOOO they are back. Well as you say your crib is now an opium den for dogs. Can we some over and have a sniff and bark at the road diggers. No worries they will be taking a break soon and your road just might get finished in time for Christmas. LOL! Have a tremendous Thursday.
    Best wishes Molly

  14. stella rose says:

Oh Easy we are gonna need street work here after all the ice, snow and now rains leave our streets in iowa. Today it is raining buckets, but next week back to snow and very cold temperatures…we are beyond….yes beyond cabin fever …we are almost cabin dead!!! Our mom is going bonkers. (p.s. if those mens were in front of ours house, maggie mae would try to break the window to get to thems….hers is antisocial)
    Stella Rose

  15. Floods, gales and now stinks. You are the lucky ones 😉 Thanks for the heads up about Nylablue. We’ll pop over now.

  16. Oh no not noise and smell. I hope your friend feels better soon.

  17. writetowag says:

  18. Will and Eko says:

  19. mollieandalfie says:

  20. Frankie and Ernie says:

OH EASY…. we just do NOT understand PEEPS… they are always doing these MAKE WORK pawjects… We think it is a conspiracy, butt what do WE know.
OMD we would LOVE to sniff that opium Den of delightfully INTOXICATING Scents.

  21. cecilia07 says:

EASY my friend I think it is time to start a campaign …Easy for Mayor of Blogville 2015!!
OMDs you have gained value experiences from dealing with municipal issues on your home front.
    hugs madi your bfff

    • hahaha butt counterproposal: Madi for Mayor of my Kraal. You will get a brandnew SUV and a luxury christmas illumination… deal? imagine… a BRAND new ride…. and that fabulous glow-in-the-dark-thingy…

  22. Two French Bulldogs says:

Same thing here. They will be hammering for months
    Lily

  23. Looks like you’re in good hands (and on good laps) during the stressful street repair. I hope nobody in your family falls into the hole. Somehow, that seems like a possibility…..

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  24. Sorry but I had to laugh out loud, loudly about your aromatic opium den. I do wish your peeps peace and quiet soon though…

  25. Good grief, Easy. What kind of street workers do you have over there that they would tarseal the sewer covers? Do you need me to send my daddy-dog over there to straighten them out? He builds roads…and never seals over the sewer covers…he just builds roads that sometimes wash out and away. Ooops. BOL

  26. fozziemum says:

Oh Easy..you have found the spring of eternal stank! perhaps bottle this as ‘wonga waster 2014’ description..a pungent little smell with high notes of crap..a scent to drive all taxpayers wild..wear a little on the wrists to have all the canines wanting to be with you…and some behind the ears to fend off unwanted street attacks…this special poo-quet is only for the most daring …Sheesh…BTW Forrest wants some of the sliding pant action..he does love a workmans butt crack to sniff!! hugs Fozziemum xxx

  27. Ann Staub says:

Yikes… sounds like a stinky mess! I swear it took them 10 years to finish our road. In the past it was like driving down and obstacle course.

  28. Oh Easy that stink sounds.. er smells like no fun! But I have to tell you we have our very own lagoon out in the boonies of rural Missouri and when the wind is out of the East which is rare thank whoever, we can truly understand the stink about which you speak. Also in January when the Polar Vortex(I know we all don’t want to hear it no more)visited our bit of country the pipe that went to the lagoon froze up three times and we had to abandon the Tiny Ten! That was interestin’! There was no flushing allowed in our house.. ewwwwwwww! Missouri is the pothole capital of the US!

  29. Oh Easy, I gots work happenin’ outside my place too! We had to fix the street gutter and had all the noisy workers jackhammerin’ at stuffs all last week! Our FABulous (sarcasm) mayor decided that it would be great to make the homeowners pay for all sidewalk and street gutter work around their homes. The city USED to maintain all of that, butts our FRICKIN’ mayor is a bastard and now makes us pay for it…arrrrrrg!! (that was Ma…it really gets her goat!!!) Anyhu, we didn’t have the FABulous aromas comin’ outs of our trenches…bummer. Maybe your Moms and My Ma can gets together and have a ‘bitch party’ and bitch abouts our inept city officials! BOL
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  30. gentlestitches says:

peeee ewwww! I hope kitty gets better quick!

  31. I tell you Easy, always something exciting and aromatic going on around your crib…not bad for living in a small village. Paw hugs, Savvy

  32. speedyrabbit says:

oh what a racket Easy but at least you got some smelly vision too,I’m collecting the power of paw for Nylablue and sending it on to her poor baby,xx Speedy

  33. Nylabluesmum says:

Ah Easy nothing like the smell of open sewer to cheer a poochie up!! It sounds like your people who care for your town (is that what a Krall is??) are similar to ours…they seem to do the half A**ed jobs on the roads & sewer systems & wonder why things fall apart in a few months. Wait til Spring arrives here; the earth will open up with potholes all over the place!!!
I fear a sinkhole will swallow us all one day 😦
Thank you for the ‘shout out’ for Nylablue. Miss Sheila & I rushed her into Vet’s Thursday & Nylablue had subQ fluids & a double shot of Covenia plus an Amoxicillin shot…I did not know about the double dose of Covenia…it is a ‘crap shoot’ (I had to; sorry) whether this will work!!! Covenia can backfire (oh not another pun) & it could do more harm than good. At this point the Vet was working in desperation…
    So far Nylablue is stable….
Much love Sherri-Ellen & Nylablue too xoxoxo

  34. kolytyi says:

I think those street guys made our streets, too! They seem to apply the same well-developed technology! 🙂

  35. Nylabluesmum says:

Nylablue is eating fairly well & resting alot. She did watch the birds this morning & she did lick her catnip toy…so she is taking small steps towards improvement.
Good luck with your Vet visit; I am SURE you will be just perfect weight wise 😉
Love Sherri-Ellen & Nylablue too xoxo

  36. Misaki says:

Maybe they missed you Easy, so they covered it over on purpose knowing they would have to come back and see you 🙂
