a Bloghop of Sugar the fabulous Golden Retriever.
I was pondering about beautiful things while my mom rummaged in our box with ole photos. She always said: “Oh look there!” or “Wow, do you remember?” and there it was: my idea for a beautiful post.
Photos are memories and even when we think we aren’t looking at our best on it, they are beautiful. Because the camera catched us in a moment of our life and saved it for all eternity. That’s great, because every moment is unique and never comes back after gone.
There are funny memories, where your features slipped away,
moments as you were just happy, because it’s your birthday,
moments you disliked to be papped,
memories what are just sweet,
and memories that still hurt as if it was yesterday instead more than 4 years ago.
But as different the memories and the emotions you feel are, they have one thing together: they are beautiful, because they show our past as it was, not photoshopped and not staged. No one posed or no one removed the dirty dishes on the table :o) That’s just a part of our life and life is beautiful. And life goes on, even when we sometimes think otherwise, it does. Even with scratches on our hearts we will carry on. Oh and btw, we have a Birthday today…
HAVE A BEAUTIFUL FRIDAY ALL
I so agree with you! This is a beautiful post.Have a wonderful day. 🙂
Thanks, I hope your friday is beautiful too :o)

Yeah let’s just roll with it, happy Rod’s day Easy. xD
Simply beautiful post easy..and so very true..it is often the goofy and unexpected moments that lift our hearts the most…slipped faces…fat bottoms…bad hair days and yes the pics of ones we miss so much yet feel so closely still…have a beautiful day sweet Easy..as I go dry my leaky eyes hugs and loves Fozziemum xxx
Thanks :o) I agree, the worst are when we eat and are captured with an open mouth :o) And some pictures are bittersweet to watch, but that’s a sign of love I think :o)
Every picture of my mum is her with her mouth open!! my sis and I have made a pizap compile of our worst pics…it’s hilarious..her litte ones an us …:) and yes Bittersweet memories are only such because there is love there 🙂
Beautiful post my dear friend…..we love photos because they are “captured forever” moments…some good, some bad but all beautiful in their way. Mom and I love your photos – your puppy picture, your helicopter ears, your Mom and Dad having a huggy moment, ALL of the photos are special because they’re all YOURS. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” – certainly is true when it comes to looking back at all those captured moments in photos……!! Have a BEAUTIFUL Friday Easy!!
That’s so true Sammy, thanks for this great comment. And without photos we had NO tuesday teaser (or your mom had to draw one every week) can you imagine a world without teaser-photos? me not :o)
Such a beautiful post Easy, Happy Birthday Rod and I use to think you were sexy BOL. xxxooxxxx
Mollie and Alfie
yes, we are sexyand tonights the night we sail away with the downtown train LOL
They are beautiful pictures and a beautiful post. Yes, the best memories are not staged, just natural. We understand pain just doesn’t go away as quickly as we wish. You have a wonderful day and weekend.
I agree, some things need a long time to heal…. but at the end we all are glad to have pictures of our past :o)
Reblogged this on 25castleson25clouds and commented:
I was wondering what to post today. I’d had something half written, but it was rubbish and scrapped. Then I found this and it just spoke to me!
That was a very beautiful post today Easy. Very touching.
Happy Birthday Rod. We will belt out I am Sailing in your honour. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
Thanks Molly :o) wait, I will sail with you, think tonight’s the night for the atlantic crossing :o)
Very true. We are big on memories and although us dogs live in the moment, Mom is always reminding us of wonderful things from the past but occasionally sad events too. Have a beautiful day!
That’s wonderful she reminds you of wonderful things of the past :o) So all things are always in our hearts and in our head :o)
Oh Easy brother that is so beautifully said.
Thanks Brother, have a beautiful friday too :o)
So beautiful and true. Shed a tear on the last beautiful memory. Gone but not forgotten.
I agree :o) Gone but not forgotten. But it was still hard to see that photos…
That is beautiful brother. Simply beautiful. Captured spur of the moment pictures are wrapped around our hearts forever. XOXO – Bacon
P.S. Happy birthday to your dad’s rival –
Bacon that was a wonderful comment, wow that’s a perfect quote! I planned to visit dad’s rival today in pawson, but I saw on a photo that he has a cat. So I better send him a happy birthday from a distance :o)
Thanks brother. I have my moments few and far between of being rather serious. Your blog today moved me. That’s why I let mommy snap all of the pictures she wants – even the crazy ones. When I’m gone, she’ll have something to remember me from. And I don’t want her being sad. I want her smiling and laughing like she is now. XOXO – Bacon
That’s great Bacon, but I we should try to find the philosophers stone, so we would be theree for all eternity :o) … imagine Happy 687th. Birthday LOL
That is true and I agree. We need to further research this philosopher’s stone and be there for eternity 🙂 XOXO – Bacon
love the sentiment but I have to tell you, the most “beautiful” thing on this page today is ROD…hehehe….you KNOW i MEAN THAT WITH LOVE!!
haha, yes you’re right. it’s good to have funny events what cheer you up, when you are a little sad. Happy Birthday Dad’s rival… and yep, you are sexy!
So true..I love pictures even if some are sad. Happy birthday Rod-Man!
Yes, Happy Birthday, sadly tonight isn’t the night, he is far away and we have no way station for the downtown train :o)
We so agree about pictures SAVING the MEMORIES… the Bright Happy SUNNY ones and those that are dark as a Salamander’s Ass… they EACH need to be reviewed and remembered… One accentuates the other. BEAUTIFUL post.
hahah you found the right words, boys. Great!!!! It’s good to have friends what cheer you up with funny comments when you’re a little blue :o)
Thank you so much for your beautiful post and we love your “Life is beautiful. And life goes on…” It means a lot to my humans as one of their relations lies in coma for the tenth day, knowing life would be completely different from now on, his wife and children are doing their best to keep their life going on. Your beautiful pictures also brought back our fond memories of my Angel mama, Hana and my Grandmama, Laura.
Have a Fantastic Friday!
I cross my paws for your relation and I hope all goes as well as it could be. Some memories hurt, even after yaers, but maybe that’s a kind of love too?
OOOH OOOH-is that your predecessor, the fox terrier I see?
Yes, that’s the beloved Terry. She was the family dog and lived with my grandparents. But she was my mom’s first dog, she bought with her own money. She saved up all the birthday money and the money of a vacation shop. Her greatest wish was a wire fox terrier. No shoes, no bag, no other useless stuff, just this pup :o) Terry’s “bestie” was my grampy, but she never forgot that it was my mom who brought her home ( so she was the second best) :o)
Thank you for joining the hop and for reflecting so beautifully about life and how even the normalcy of it is etched in beautiful. That’s the good stuff. ;D
Happy seeing so much beautiful in 2014!
Thanks :o) It’s a super great hop and I love the way we share beautiful things :o)
Love that first photo, you look like you’re a model flipping their hair over their shoulder
Naomi Weimbell or Cindy Weimford LOL
Easy this moment (with you) we see beautiful. Well done my Weim friend….you might be big and tough but you have a very sweet and tender heart.
Lots of hugs Madi your bfff
Thanks Madi, I was very touched while writing too and I had to remove some tears with my paws.
PS love your wings in the first photo..where to you fly to that day?
ha, to Dad’s Rival Rod, to sing him a birthday song :o)
Easy, Beautiful moments captured on film make some of the best Beautiful memories! I could not agree more, even when the photo captures something ridiculous. Maybe ridiculous is better because then there is always a smile when you find the Beautiful memory…like those ears in the first photo, buddy. What a smile you gave us!
*high paw* for sharing Beautiful,
Hey Easy! Great Post!!! Mes loves it! Memories and photos of those memories..priceless!!!
And the birthday boy Rod is my Dad’s rival too!!!
Thanks, Nellie :o) I’m afraid sometimes all dad’s of the world will visit their rival for major spanky :o)
Terry from MatildasJourney.com

Mr Bailey, Hazel & Greta
Oh what a honor :o) I’m blushed now :o)
You have cut through to the real meaning of beautiful, E. Great pictures! I love your dad sharing the dog bed. Looks comfy.
Love and licks,
Thanks :o) Even a small dogbed is big enough for a pup and his human :o)… btw: maybe my dad was the reason that this bed bursted one day?
Your post is spot on. Pictures capture those moments in life that will never return. Sometimes we have happy tears and sometimes sad ones over them, but we are still glad to have those keepsakes.
Oh you’re absolutely right, they are always a part of our life :o)
Those wonderful moments made my heart smile Easy!
My heart smiles too, Brian :o)
It’s beautiful and precious photos. There full of Beautiful Moments. Golden Thanks for sharing, Happy Seeing Beauty. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
Thanks Sugar :o) But the most beautiful post was yours, that’s for sure :o)
What a “beautiful”post,Easy! Your Mom’s huskies were just gorgeous – beautiful!
Woos – Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
Thanks, I bet they had fun to play together with you :o) … but both disliked snow, that’s crazy…
So true! More photos! More photos! Seems like we are always saying, darn, forgot the camera again (or – dang it, the battery is dead again) and the moment slips away. Thankful tho for the ones we do capture. Well said Easy.
Exactly that’s the point, we miss so much great moments what deserved to be captured forever. Yay for a cam what is always ready for the next shot :o)
What a boootiful collection of memories! Your mom and dad are really rich having them!
As I see, you had to do the donkey work already as a pup in order to have a (somewhat) trained staff! The situation seemed to be totally hopeless in that pic!
That’s right, it’s a hard job to train them. you can work the whole day and on the next day they have forgotten all tricks…. think I will send them to obedience school.
Such a lovely post Easy xxx
Thanks Misaki :o)
