I was pondering about beautiful things while my mom rummaged in our box with ole photos. She always said: “Oh look there!” or “Wow, do you remember?” and there it was: my idea for a beautiful post.
Photos are memories and even when we think we aren’t looking at our best on it, they are beautiful. Because the camera catched us in a moment of our life and saved it for all eternity. That’s great, because every moment is unique and never comes back after gone.
There are funny memories, where your features slipped away,
moments as you were just happy, because it’s your birthday,
moments you disliked to be papped,
memories what are just sweet,
and memories that still hurt as if it was yesterday instead more than 4 years ago.
But as different the memories and the emotions you feel are, they have one thing together: they are beautiful, because they show our past as it was, not photoshopped and not staged. No one posed or no one removed the dirty dishes on the table :o) That’s just a part of our life and life is beautiful. And life goes on, even when we sometimes think otherwise, it does. Even with scratches on our hearts we will carry on. Oh and btw, we have a Birthday today…

Simply beautiful post easy..and so very true..it is often the goofy and unexpected moments that lift our hearts the most…slipped faces…fat bottoms…bad hair days and yes the pics of ones we miss so much yet feel so closely still…have a beautiful day sweet Easy..as I go dry my leaky eyes hugs and loves Fozziemum xxx

Every picture of my mum is her with her mouth open!! my sis and I have made a pizap compile of our worst pics…it’s hilarious..her litte ones an us …:) and yes Bittersweet memories are only such because there is love there 🙂
Beautiful post my dear friend…..we love photos because they are “captured forever” moments…some good, some bad but all beautiful in their way. Mom and I love your photos – your puppy picture, your helicopter ears, your Mom and Dad having a huggy moment, ALL of the photos are special because they’re all YOURS. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” – certainly is true when it comes to looking back at all those captured moments in photos……!! Very true. We are big on memories and although us dogs live in the moment, Mom is always reminding us of wonderful things from the past but occasionally sad events too. Have a beautiful day!

OOOH OOOH-is that your predecessor, the fox terrier I see?
Yes, that’s the beloved Terry. She was the family dog and lived with my grandparents. But she was my mom’s first dog, she bought with her own money. She saved up all the birthday money and the money of a vacation shop. Her greatest wish was a wire fox terrier. No shoes, no bag, no other useless stuff, just this pup :o) Terry’s “bestie” was my grampy, but she never forgot that it was my mom who brought her home ( so she was the second best) :o)

Easy, Beautiful moments captured on film make some of the best Beautiful memories! I could not agree more, even when the photo captures something ridiculous. Maybe ridiculous is better because then there is always a smile when you find the Beautiful memory…like those ears in the first photo, buddy. What a smile you gave us!

Your post is spot on. Pictures capture those moments in life that will never return. Sometimes we have happy tears and sometimes sad ones over them, but we are still glad to have those keepsakes.

As I see, you had to do the donkey work already as a pup in order to have a (somewhat) trained staff! The situation seemed to be totally hopeless in that pic!
That’s right, it’s a hard job to train them. you can work the whole day and on the next day they have forgotten all tricks…. think I will send them to obedience school.
