MAGIC STONEDAY
.
.
Even stones are magic and not only Pet Rocks like Bashful, The Rolling Stones or the wine stone , also some special stones have magic power and here in my area they were used by Druids for magic rituals and they were very important for the magic business of the celtic shamans and priests.
.
.
The stones are called MENHIRS, that’s breton and composed of the words MAEN= stone and HIR=long. Menhirs are not sculpted and transported by glaciers during the ice age, they were sculpted by peepz and placed with purpose on strategic important places, mostly during the Bronze Age.
.
.
.
Today me and Bashful visited one of the Menhirs who lives in the middle of my kraal. It was the best chance to discover the hoary wisdom of this Menhir. To sniff out the secret of the stones you need “the millenarian eyes” a writer said once ( I forgot the name of this guy, sorry). I’m just three and I’m not good in waiting, specially not for 997 years so I chosed plan B – you need a stone who can read and translate the message of the Menhirs – Bashful!
.
.
Even Bashful need some arrangements before he can unhide the secret. First you have to get stoned.
Therefor we used Mom’s tomatoplant, what has no tomatoes and not even flowers. With a homemade can-bong we tried to travel to next dimension, what happened very quickly. I hope the vamped smoke stuff has no after- or side effects.
.
.
After entering the stoned dimension we had to get plastered. That was easy, with a little help of Jack and Jim.
.
.
Then we had to wait till the walls were back on their correct place and stopped their moving.
.
Now we were ready to discover the secret of the Menhir. I was totally thrilled, maybe we will find the instruction to get rich and famous or there is the guide to live forever…
After some incantations we really discovered the secret of the Menhir:
.
.
.
Maybe not all Menhirs were famous or have a secret you need to know. I bet even the biggest, guy, the Menhir of Kerloas, was actually just a broadcasting tower for the stone age TV transmission. But they had no stereo sound, because they are MONOliths hehehe…
.
.
HAVE A MAGIC STONEDAY ALL
I don’t know if you’re a bad influence on Bashful or if he’s a bad influence on you! You are both scandalous!!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Oh that was all for scientific purposes :o)
Well you and Bashful are certainly getting the most out of your visit with each other……! Bashful looks adorable in his Rasta beret – all he needs is dreadlocks…..hahaha…..come to think of it Easy, maybe THAT’s the answer to your bald snout – how about some beautiful gray dreadlocks to match your furs?????? Seriously though, it must be really interesting to have Bronze Age relics like the Menhirs so close to where you live! I don’t suppose while you were there you “left your mark” (pawtograph) on them????
Happy Magic Stoneday…..(tee hee)
Sammy
pee ess……Mom says she’s having a flashback…..(or is it hot flash???)
Sadly we had problems with the dreadlocks – they are only available in yellow and a blonde and science? Not the best match LOL The stone thingies are very common here, nearly every village has one or more. They are like newsstands for the doggies :o)
Too bad about the dreadlocks…..Bashful looked quite festive in his “rasta man beanie” ! The closest thing to one of those stone thingies around here is in Washington, DC – the Washington Monument is just one great big huge STONE thingie but all the guards around probably keep dogs from autographing it.
😉 Sam
What a great visit he’s having! Whee know our hoomans have been to Stonehenge a couple of times and they say there is something mystical and magical about it that just takes your breath away.
Happy Monday
Nutty, Nacho, Buddy & Basil
xxxxx
I agree – that Stonehenge is really a magic place. I would like to visit all those rocking rocks, but my mom is a chicken, because the traffic runs vice versa :o)
That’s a fine looking tomato plant 😀 Bacon was saying only today that he was surprised Bashful hadn’t been up to no good…
It’s really just a tomtao plant, the price was 0.79 cents lol. But it has no tomatoes, no idea why, maybe because it was only 79 cents :o)
Shame 😉
Reblogged this on Pig Love and commented:
Oh Bashful, you finally met some of your ancient relatives. You’re becoming such a rolling stone. 🙂 love you! XOXO – Bacon
Never knew menhirs were real – thought they were made up for Asterix! Now we know.(here from PigLove)
LOL me too! But they are real :o) I always thought Mr. Obelix brought them, but I never saw this guy :o)
Well there you go – we learn something every day – that a dog and rock together can get into all kinds of mischief 🙂
haha, that’s true – together we are second to none :o)
Ha ha monoliths. You crack us as always Easy. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
Maybe they had two use two f this guys for a perfect sound?
have a great day too!
Thanks Easy honey, Mama really needed this today.
Sometimes I have such days too :o) But then not even a tomato plant is helpful :o(
you and Bashful got “plastered” love it! Hope you have a magical monday! Barks and licks and love, Dakota
Thanks Dakota – wow we have a hangover today (or a smokeover LOL)
EASY IT WAS VERY HOSPITABLE OF YOU TO TAKE BASHFUL TO VISIT SOME OF HIS KIN. OMDs I love love love his beret…did your mom make that for him?
hugs madi your bfff
haha, no, Madi my mom has 10 thumbs and two left paws. Mr. Photoshop made the Beret :o)
You are certainly having an adventure 🙂
hahaha yes – a stony adventure LOL
We have people that aren’t as smart as those stones. We call them politicians.
And they also have no magic power, right? They are just money-powered, I think :o)
They do conjure that money out of thin air.
Wow… How did our mom’s furend JACK get outta her Cabinet and to YOUR HOUSE???
Ummmmmm Easy and Bashful… we gotta say that this post REALLY ROCKED us!
Maybe Jack missed his brother Jim? I’m sure he will come back after the family-reunion :o)
Well you sure are having a great time Bashful,xx Speedy
I think now he is really one of The Rolling Stones LOL
Those are amazing stones with interesting energy because they are situated on energy ley lines.
It’s interesting to follow the line of the Menhirs. Sadly this one moved a couple of times and they placed it somewhere where they had room. Maybe that was the reason that we got only the paw-tip?
Another thought provoking magic monday! I love that I can come here to have a laugh AND learn something! Thanks Easy, you wise Weimaraner you 🙂
Oh thanks, that was cool to call me wise (my staff thinks different about wisdom lol)
Hello, I am Fern, I am tryi0.0ng to fellow you by email. I love your dog–so pretty!!! I once had one too!! I’ll show you maybe if I can get one to load on here. Well I don’t know how to do it–I guess!!!
You’re welcome. Weimaraners are just wonderful, aren’t they?
Oh yes so loving!!!
Easy, that was alot of magic for a Monday!! To answer your question to us, that is a Scottish Deer Hound next to us in the picture. The momma also has Irish Wolfhounds.
They are both very sweet breeds, us puggies love them alot.
hugs
Greta, Bailey & Hazel too.
I saw one of this guys once, wow they are big! But so beautiful. And they have such elegant moves!
Easy, we think Bashful is leading you astray..bawahwhhahwa can I come to the pawty cause you two are having a wonderful time getting stoned..BOL xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
Come over, the tomato plant is a big thingy!
Getting Stoned…BOL :O)
Stewey
It was for a good cause – sadly the Menhir had not much Wisdom for us :o)
I am glad you had fun getting stoned Easy!
Thanks Brian – but today we have a “stoneover” LOL
it looks so far
Can we please come with visit too?
We will be good, I promise
Of course, come over :o) I will arrange a big parking lot for the truck :o)
far = fun
typing in a hurry as I have to pack us all
I know, I’m always to fast too :o)
Sweet Easy you and Bashful are really gettin’ around. A goal post and broadcasting tower??? Too funny!! You two are quite the pair we must say. You surely will make the history books with all the information you are coming up. Hugs and nose kisses
I think they have to change a lot in the school books now :o) Maybe we will get the nobel prize now :o)
Bashful seems like a very nice fun sort of stone. You and he seem to be having a lot of fun together. We loved seeing the Menhirs.
Woos – Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
It was good to have a buddy who can talk “stonish”, so we discovered one of the last secrets of slice earth :o)
Oh. My. LOL! What in influence on Bashful. Or is Bashful the influence?! I laughed so hard. GREAT photo diary! 🙂
I have no clue – maybe it’s the influence of the moon (or the tomato plants) :o)
Looks like you had another great day with Bashful! And whee love his beret – whee want one!
Piggy kisses,
Poppy and Clover
Xxxxxxx
Oh you would look great with Berets. I wish I could make such cool thingies – but sadly we all have left paws here and the Beret is made by Mr. Photoshop :o)
Oh Easy..i can barely see you guys in this post for the haze of thick smoke!!! hahahahaha I have no Bob Marley music in my head and a desire for a large pizza!!…you crazy guys hehehehh have a great day Sweet Easy and Bashful….hugs Fozzziemum xxxx
I think TWO pizzas would be better :o)
Two it is then Easy 😉
Stoned!?!! Yous gots stoned to sees the standing stones?!? My Mommy did that when she was a hippy in a different life time.
Kisses
Nellie
But she used no tomato plants or did she?
We were watching a show about homes in Alaska and some of them were built using river rocks, it was pretty cool. 🙂
But it’s very cold there. If I could chose a “rock house” I would take the Race Rock Lighhouse :o)
LOL well too bad the menhir didn’t have something more interesting to say. At least it looks like you had a good time trying to understand it haha.
Probably the tomato plant had not enough power to see between the dimensions :o) Maybe we should try it with Persil or Chives :o)
those rocks are something else..what a great time
Benny & Lily
I hope we will find one who has really a cool secret and not only household tips :o)
OMG, Easy, you and Bashful have a cultural mission: you should decipher and re-interpret all writings carved in stone in ancient times! You will completely rewrite human history!
hahaha, yes. But I’m not sure if the humanity want’s to know all the little secrets :o)
Hahahaha you guys are crazy!
I’ve nominate you for an award btw: http://themisadventuresofmisaki.wordpress.com/2013/08/20/the-explorer-dog-award/
Wow – for me? What a honor! I come to visit you immediately!
That visit looks so fun. Cute post.

I thinks I would like to pawty with you and your ‘stone’!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Oh we have enough for all blogvillers, it’s a giant tomato tree, just without tomatoes. Come over for a funny tomato-party :o)
Well, everybody must get stoned…. or so Bob Dylan says.
hahaha yes, and he is a wise man :o)
ummmm…Bashful…aren’t you ready to like move on??? Just wonderin’…don’t want my pal Easy to get into all that ‘stone’ stuff…heh…heh…forgive me but I will not be around until Sunday as Mom is going away “again”…sigh..
What you are alone at home? We can visit you with our tomatoplant and the can. How about a tomato-party? (including funny Berets of course) :o)
Ha ha ha! We fink getting stoned is right up your alley! We didn’t know you could be such a naughty boy. Love Bashful’s translation, too.
And the humans always say tomatoes are healthy hehehehe
