How to make very ugly –  but yummy and full of calories Walnut- Cookies? That’s EASY:
First: wash your paws – or not – I don’t care a pap for it – there are anyway nuts inside and you didn’t notice some dirt…
you need:
1 Weimaraner or another pet
1 Dad or any  person with sheer force
1 dough hook
1 oven (175°C/350°F)
1 mom (for cleaning up the kitchen behind you)
1 baking parchment
1 clingfilm
1 knife
in case of the different measurements I tried to convert it, but my ghostwriter was the ultimate disaster-girl in mathematics – so you will  be warned ;o)
200 gram butter (1.75 stick) – room tempered
100 gram icing sugar (7 table spoons)
1 egg yolk (1 egg yolk ) <- think this is the only one which will be correct haha
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar <- oh and this one could be also correct, of course
100 gram walnuts (3.5 oz)
300 gram flower (21 table spoons) – means FLOUR – THANKS, ZENA ♥
Pre heat your oven to 175°C/350°F – we didn’t use the air circulation , because the cookies are better without
Break the nuts and sort it out – use the dad or the person of your choice. Mince the nuts in small pieces – that’s very important – you will see it below why. You can do this with your hands or if they aren’t clean enough – give the nuts to the Weimaraner he can chew it and spit it back  in the bowl.
You can roast the nuts in a pan without fat/oil for some minutes – be careful they are burnt very fast and a case for the trash can.
Remove the dad from the kitchen because he throwed your recipe together with the nutshells in the chimney again.
Take the Butter and throw the egg yolk inside. Take the dough hook and stir it creamy. Add the icing sugar and stir it. Add the flower and and stir it, you can use your hands to knead it – no matter if they are clean or not.  Add the roasted nuts and knead it again.
Make rolls from the dough – approx. 5cm/2 inches in diameter. Take a piece of the clingfilm and wrap the dough roll inside.
Put the rolls in your fridge and wait till they are hard. If you have no patience like my mom and me you can put it in the freezer – but be careful and don’t wait to long – otherwise you need a tomahawk for cutting the rolls.
While the rolls are resting in your fridge you can do what you want till they are ready for baking. You can hold your finger on the hot chimney and try to cool it with HOT water or you can play som tug games with a dishtowel and the Weimaraner.
Ok. Rolls are ready. Cut the rolls in pieces approx. 1/2 inch wide – and now Ladies and Gentlemen – look what will happen if your nuts aren’t well minced: The dough molders… and the cookies will look pitiful.
Put the griddle into the oven on the middle rail. They should be finish within approx. 15 minutes. But this cookies are ambushed: the first ten minutes you will see nothing, they are pale and ugly like raw. But then you can have within a minute coal pieces… The best color for the cookies is like caramel, so maybe they need some minutes more or not. You will hold it in your hand: either watching for some minutes cookie-tv –or to feed the trash can ;o)
The cookies are dry and tender and they are very good with a cup of tea or a diet Schweppes (for persons with a stomach-paranoia like my mom)…. and yes, dear tea-lovers we are BARBARIANS and use tea-bags ;o)
BTW: you need approx. 600 sit ups to burn the cookie-calories….
After effects: None … since yet
Side effect: a latched Weimaraner, because he only got Dog cookies

OH I ROARED WITH LAUGHTER! Have the Weimeraner chew it up and spit it back into the bowl (among other things!) BOL! OMD this was funny but delicious looking!
I LOVE your kitchen and your fire…sooooo cozy!
I might have to make these one day. THANK YOU for the wonderful laugh as always! Love, “Mom”

  3. You’re mighty good in the kitchen Easy and such a help, chewing walnuts, playing tug of war and everything. Cookies look great but I think I’d be safer just buying some. My injuries would extend further than a simple finger, I’m afraid.

  4. Hey Easy we loved it when you said chew the nuts and spit them back in the bowl, ha ha. BOL funny but great post pal. Have a fabulous Friday.
    Best wishes Molly

  5. Easy you are an excellent kitchen supervisor! And the cookies look great. But next time get your folks to make some doggie ones intead 🙂

    • Thanks, Misaki. Think they should only bake for me – I’m the only one who need no pants – which were to small over night ( that are the calories, they are sitting in the wardrobe and sewing the clothes narrower)

I thought I remembered that walnuts were bad for dogs and I looked it up. There’s a difference of opinion, some say good and others bad. I’m not going to find out the hard way. I’ll take the peanut butter cookies and slop the humans with the walnuts.

    • I think so, Kyla, nuts are the only ingredients which couldn’t be “recycled” by a dog. They came out in a “mint condition” ;o) I don’t eat the nuts, but they are good for mess up the whole house :o) We haven’t peanut butter here, but I heard wonderful stories about peanut butter filled Kongs ;o)

  7. Woof! Woof! LOVE it! Daddy … sauce Glaze (Golden Laughs) never heard of that brand. ENJOY and Happy Friday! Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
FYI: Please add this link to my Tasty Tuesday Blog Hop on 11/20. Golden Woofs

  8. Tehehe. That looks like you had good fun there! It’s lucky your hoomans have you round to guide them!

I think they sound yummy yums. I don believe playing tug was the most critical part of the recipe. If you skip that step you might as well toss the whole batch in the trash and start over.

  10. runningwithellen says:

I look forward to your next gourmet treat.

  11. Brian says:

They ya go again Easy, now I am hungry again!

    • Sadly the cookies aren’t for dogs or kitties – that’s mean, huh? But I think a treat or a catnip is better than all cookies (specially if they are homemade by my staff) ;o)

  12. These cookies sound brilliant! Plus tea bags are delicious. I love to steal them and eat them. I leave behind the string and tag and staple and quite a big mess on the floor. Yum.

    Love and licks,

  13. What a wonderful recipe Easy! I think my Mom could handle that – she’d probably leave out the burned finger part and probably the 600 sit-ups afterward to burn calories up. I think exercising is only done in extreme emergencies around here! 🙂 Your kitchen looks very pretty and so do those cookies when they’re done……YUM

    Kitty Hugs, Sammy and Mom

    • haha I’m not sure if the cookie recipe is complet without a burning finger ;o) … but I think the best moment to start exercising is the evening before you start to a beach holiday ;o)

  14. Paws To Talk says:

Wonderful job! We love a dog that can bake!

  17. Zena says:

The flower had me foxed for a moment! Then I realised you’d been gardening again Easy!
They look great 🙂 You did a good job supervising.

  18. Zena says:

Easy, you’re a star! I know it, you know it and many others know it too. Pop over to my place and pick up the proof 🙂

  19. kolytyi says:

How it is possible that after your heroic efforts and major contribution to the success, you did not got a morsel of the cookies? It is only due to your chewing the walnuts into small pieces and playing with your mom tug of war that the cookies look and smell and taste so fantastic! Had been your mom alone in the kitchen, I’m sure she would have dozed off by watching the cookie-TV!
I’m afraid I do better not to try this recipe for lack of a Weimaraner!
Your mom is very smart: calory-bomb cookies with diet Schweppes!!!

    • hahaha think she is a humanoid – oxymoron. maybe the diet lemonade will neutralize the fat and the sugar? Finally I’m glad I had no cookies – so I can wear mom’s pants now ;o)

      • kolytyi says:

OMG: “Citrate, the conjugate base of citric acid is one of a series of compounds involved in the physiological oxidation of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates to carbon dioxide and water.” Perhaps should your mom suck on a few kg of lemon to the walnut cookies? 🙂

      • than we need a truckload of lemons….;o)

      • kolytyi says:

A lemon grove would solve the problem, too. I think you could start the project by digging up your backyard first.

  20. Easy, I’m sendinf you a ticket and directions to my home so that you can bake for me every Friday. Now I’m off to find some cookies.

  21. saymber says:

What?!? All that hard work Easy and you don’t even get to eat one of those delicious walnut cookies?? This is terrible. I think you should go on strike!

  23. LifeOfBun says:

Oh those cookies look delicious! But what to do without a Weimaraner?

  24. Marcela says:

Lol. Funny, interesting and entertaining post as always:)

  25. Mag (Chancy's Mumsy) says:

Oh, my!!! Sweet Easy I can’t even see to type this because my eyes are full of water from laughing so hard. Popsy came in and Mumsy read this to him and they both laughed so hard their sides are about to be aching. You sure went through a lot to not get at least one little bite of those walnut cookies. Good job sweet Easy! Hugs and nose kisses

  26. tylersat99 says:

Those look very good, Mom loves nuts but we aren’t allowed to have them 😦

  27. raisingdaisy says:

Perfect for the holidays! I can ignore the calories for something that looks that good! 🙂

  28. Since Rainy has gotten better she is frantic to get all the pounds put back on that she lost…I know she would eat them all up and not even share right now….we hope her manners will return when she is 100% well again 😉

    • I’m so glad, Rainy is feeling so much better now – I’m always on the search for food – I could eat in an endless loup – or till they are putting me on the scale, that’s a disaster… think this scale-thing is faulty
