HUNTING MONDAY
.
I’ve got my pumpkin today! YAY! It’s for the great competition on Sammy’s blog…
.
.
But I have no idea, what my dad thought as he brought this beast in my crib.
It looks like run over and I have no idea what we shall do with this creature. At least it looks scary enough without carving…
.
.
Also I’ve tried today to train my hunting skills: I was barking in an endless loop in front of the kitchen rack till mom came after some hours or years to assist me.
.
.
She was laying on her belly and fished with a broom stick under the rack for my hunting prey. Her dry swimming was looking  like “Free Willy” out of the ocean. As an irritating  pain in the neck  disciplined hunting dog I was pushing sitting behind her and supported her helpless wriggling with exzessive barking valuable navigation hints .
.
.
A POTATO! So what! That’s better than nothing !
.
.
Maybe moms are good bargain hunters but they have no sense for the noble art of hunting – that’s for sure!
.
HAVE A BARGAIN MONDAY ALL

  1. MOL! MOL! MOL!
By the way Easy, be extra careful in case your Mom wants to bake a pumpkin cheesecake with the inside of the monster 😉

Pee-ess hope’z her eye is geting better 🙂

    • It is, hahaha… but now its chewed :o) think this pumpkin has survived a nuclear inferno or my dad felt sorry for the ugliest pumpkin and adopted him? Unfortunately she is still the pop-eye look a like ;o)

  3. Good hunting there Easy. You’ll have to start looking for truffles next!
Happy carving! My mummy and daddy are going to do one each and the best one gets submitted. Or we just take a photo of one covered in the rivers of blood from mummy’s fingers (when she cuts them trying to carve the pumpkin) and submit that instead BOL

    • haha Misaki, I think our whatever will be decorated too with blood and bodyparts – hope we have the same staff in the emergency room as last year – they were very friendly and mom got a skin adhesive for her cutted thumb top as a giveway :o)

  4. All that for a lousy spud Easy! What no mouse in the house? I thought you had some good vermin there for a minute. Happy spooky carving pal.
    Best wishes Molly

  5. Kyla says:

You can’t have just the potato-you needed to demand the trimmings. Gravy, butter plus sour cream and chives. That’s what They would have done for Themselves, you deserve the same.

  6. Brian says:

Well I think that was some mighty fine hunting Easy!

  7. catchatcaren says:

My question is…what in heck was a potato doing on the floor? BOL! Barks and licks and love, Dakota

    • good question, Dakota… I found this potato on the street and it was well storaged in my mouth , then I came in and saw the pitiful orange guy on the table. I must laugh, opened my mouth and the potato was rolling on the floor(<—ROFL) and directly under this darned rack…

  8. Bert says:

I may be a retired Search Dog but I still like to go hunting too. Sometimes at the hospital, the nurses in the ICU hide treats for me in their purses. Then when I come in to visit, they ask me to “Slow Search” through the purses. It is great fun and I always find at least one reward like your potato…..
    Aint life grand.
    Bert

  9. Goose says:

Your hunting skills are unmatched my friend. I know I have learned a valuable lesson about how to hunt. I will go practice those skills right now. Thanks Easy!
    Blessings,
    Goose

  10. Potato hunting. Good job, E. I wish somebody would drop a crumb of food around here. Dust bunnies are not food!

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  11. Oh Easy – that’s a MOST interesting pumpkin your Dad brought home….it has a lot of personality. It will look mighty fine covered in blood and perhaps that adorable little potato you adopted would make a charming nose or ear or something on your pumpkin head…..on second thought, I bet you’ve already destroyed that potato by now. Nevermind. I’m SURE your pumpkin entry is going to be MEMORABLE no matter what!!

    Bon chance mon ami!
    Kitty Hugs, Sammy

    • oh Sammy I think so…or better I’m afraid this would be memorable – of course :o)… I have no idea where my dad bought this “wonder of nature”…better he keeps this secret ;o)

  12. Tehehehe. Whee are getting our pumpkins tomorrow which will be exciting. Hopefully ours will not be too scary! 🙂

    Nibbles, Nutty, Buddy & Basil

  13. That’s a huge pumpkin.
I stand no chance, you’ll win.
I have the feeling that that was mister potato before after a few minutes with you and you are not showing the rest of his body.

  14. Dalton says:

Well done you on your fab hunting skills!! I think they should reward you fully with extra treats and noms!! But I do hope you didn’t get too close to mum when you were supervising her, or is she all better now??

  15. kolytyi says:

I think your dad tried to set a new Guiness-record in the category “The weirdest and scariest pumpkin of the world”. It is so huge that he might have the idea to carve an own crib in your crib from it.
You look extremely smart in the second pic!

  16. tylersat99 says:

Good hunting Easy, but after all that it would be better to get a great treat not a potato!

  17. Clowie says:

I hope the carving of the pumpkin goes smoothly, but I think you’d better have the first aid kit ready!

  18. Fluffy Tufts says:

A potato is not a bad find. My lot would be happy with that, but maybe that’s because we Irish love our potatoes! lol

  19. A good hunter never loses sight of his prey, good job marking your prey Easy!
