Cat’s are magic. Not only for their role in  the silly stories as the companion of witches. And not as the symbol in superstition for bad luck. No, they are magic from the begining of their triumphal march around the world.

Originally cats came from egypt. There they where honored as the incarnation of the goddes BASTET since 3000 B.C. . The greeks who came to egypt tried to buy some of the cats, but the egypts refused to sell holy things. So they stole the cats, brought them to greek and from there cats were going to everywhere on slice earth.

.

In europe (the US and other parts of the “new world” weren’t discovered at this time) cats lost their status as holy animals, but most people appreciated the cats for their hunting skills, because the cats bailed the people from mice and rats who were destroing and eating their supplies.

 .

Later some twolegged bumblebrains claimed that the cats would be the symbol of the pagan relegion, because they came from countries of infidels and the madness begun. They said the eyes which are glowing in darkness are the result of black magic and the kitties would be the companion of the devil and other evildoers.

.

They chased the kitties away and a lot of them were killed by mad humans. The mice and the rats began to rule. The result of this freaking idea was, that the fleas who were sitting on the rats conveyed the plague and a lot of humans died painfully. That’s not THE reason of the plague, but one of the reasons of this epidemic, together with the bad circumstances of life, specially the hygienic disabilities.  BTW:  the quote: “It’s raining cats and dogs “is origin from 17th/18th century as the streets were dirty and full of dross and they had no sewer systems.  In case of heavy showers with following  flooding  dead animals like dogs&cats were washed through the streets and lanes…

 .

That are the facts, now to the fiction:

 .

If a black kitty will cross you way from left to right – this day could be a bad day. If a kitty comes from right to left – it could be a lucky day.

If you ask me, while you want to cross the street, you shouldn’t watch for kitties, better watch for trucks or cars, no matter if from left to right or vice versa – or THIS WILL BE A BAD DAY. GUARANTEED.

If you plan to move into a new crib you should have a black cat on your side. The kitty should be the first who is entering your new crib. If the black kitty likes your new home, than you can be sure that it is free from ghosts, monsters or bad karma. If the kitty refused to enter your new crib it could be that your new domicile is haunted or has bad vibrations inside.

 .

If you will get a visit from a black kitty then this is a sign for upcoming prosperity.

If you are a sailor you should have a tricolour cat on board – this should bring you good luck.

 .

If you plan a wedding you should have a kitty on your guest list. A sneezing kitty in front of the bride will bring good luck for your marriage.

 .

You can do also magic with kitties: in Russia they say, if you have an unwelcome visitor who should never visit you again, put a hair of a cat in his left shoe, then the invader will never come back to your crib.

 .

At last the kitty-oracle: (should be originally from Scotland)

 .

You have to be alone in a room, while your kitty is waiting outside. Ask a question which can be answered with “YES” or “NO”. Now call your kitty. If your kitty will come in watch their feet. If she comes with the right paw first in the room, the answer of your question is “NO” – is her left paw the first, the answer is “YES”.
