FOURTH OF ADVENT SUNDAY
.
DAY 23
.

.
Today is the last Sunday in Advent before christmas. I lit on the fourth candle on the wreath.
.
.
The plan for tomorrow provides that we will cancel the lunch and prepare a dinner with Molly’s meatballs and some thuna-balls (for mom and me) before I get my gifts. Yep, you read right I’ll get my gifts tomorrow in the evening.
.
.
That’s traditional correct. In old times only to the weimaraners kids were given gifts after the holy mass on 24th. of december. And only to kids who visited the holy mass, because Santa Paws brought the gifts while the good kids were in the church.Traditional the christmas mass was starting between 10-12 PM and for the kids it was very late for receiving presents after the end of the mass. And so they are receiving their presents on the 25th. of december in the morning. If you ask me, it is NEVER too late for gifts…but if they say so…
.
The exchanging of gifts for all, including the adults is a tradition which came later with the reformation and the splitting of the western christianity in different confessions and it serves more as a “stand in” for confessions which haven’t a namesday like the catholic or orthodoxe church, who are using the namesday for giving gifts.
.
I fact, I will get my gifts already tomorrow after the dinner and we try to put a video in my next post . I hope we can solve this with our clumsy paws, because it will be the first video ever.
.
Now I’m waiting for my gifts grandparents but they will arrive my crib sometime by night. Even dads rival ROD said it’s “SO FAR AWAY”… and he know’s best… The staff squalls through my crib with the vac and the swab since 8:00 AM and they hope to find mercy at the granny with the x-ray eyes. While waiting I can read my cards again or I try something from my Bad Idea Catalog…

HAVE A FABULOUS ADVENT SUNDAY

I think that is a mighty fine tradition Easy and maybe I can talk Dad into trying it too!
maybe you will get gifts on 24. AND on 25. – think that’s a fair deal, Brian
)
Oh yeah, Easy, Weimaraners are superior in every respect to humans! It is only natural that you receive your presents earlier!
…of course… maybe I can get it today? That would be fine (and tomorrow gifts and on tuesday too…and even on wednesday ;o)
YES, YES, YES, and we could watch your video stream about this wonderful series of events!
Oh my goodness, early presents! My MOM is very strict about waiting until Christmas day. Maybe because she is at church all day on Christmas Eve. I guess I would rather wait for her than open them without her. Have a beautiful day Easy brother.
Blessings,
Goose
For this case I would wait too, Goose. It’s boring to open presents alone…. I need a lot of friends who are happy with me ;o) Have a wonderful Sunday ;o)
Hey Easy we celebrate Christmas eve too and that is when we open our presents. You are in good Brit company as so does our fav lady Maj the Queen. So you me and Maj will be opening our pressies tomorrow. Mind you just don’t mention that fact that she is really German and he is Greek. BOL. Have a super Sunday and glad you like our share it Sunday with the Lonely Dogs. We have just discovered them and their pix are well cool.

Me too Dakota, waiting is not really my passion. I hope we can share the whole “mess” with you all via video ;o)

Mollie and Alfie
That’s for sure, Mollie – I hope you will get a gazillion of gifts!!!
We have to wait-boo hiss. You’re lucky because you have a seven hour head start.
that’s true … but I’ll bet 7 hours later you have brand new gifts and my gifts are destroyed and a case for the trash can
)
And five hours after that-we’re in the same boat but Christmas 2013 is seven hours sooner for you.
… of course… and if you touch the glasses for the new year, here we all are laying drunken in our beds ;o)
Hope you have a lovely time with your grandparents, I’m sure they’ll be bringing you lots of lovely thing.
Looking forward to seeing your first video:-)
Thanks Misaki! I hope we can solve the video-thing

HUGS MADI YOUR BFFF
Thanks Madi&Mom – I’m sure there are a lot (mis-)adventures waiting for me
)
Me and Nellie are most interested in your Bad ideas catalogue. Maybe, you could share some ideas. Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest maremmas in all the land.
I will sahre some ideas soon – specially for the best Maremmas in all the land ;o) Have a wonderful Christmas and tons of treats ;o)
Easy the excitement is just almost too much to bear isn’t it? My Mom says when she was growing up (in the dinosaur age) she and her brother opened their pressies Christmas Eve….then Santa came and they had Santa stuff on Christmas morning. I kind of like having two rounds of present-opening so we might try that this year. I hope you have fun with your grandparents and they bring you even MORE goodies to open. Hope you and the staff have a joyous holiday Easy – you’ve made things SO MUCH FUN in the blogosphere and Mom and I look forward to hearing what’s up in your crib all the time…..never a dull moment!!
Meowy Christmas and BIG HOLIDAY HUGS!
Sammy and Mom
Wish our grandparents brought lots of good things – ours only bring Prissy Paws and then its, ‘don’t touch’, ‘Mind Devon!’, ‘Pick him up Bill’ and he gets to sit on the leather couch that Raffles and I don’t get to go on. The Producer had better give us a decent present or two to make up for us being polite.
Zena I wish ou tons of presents, treats, love and hugs. And the same for Raffles – of course!!!
