THANK YOU SATURDAY
.
.
DAY 22
.
Today the post-guy brought a letter to my crib. It was from Molly the Wally with the “must have” for a Britmas: Bread Sauce and Turkey Gravy.
.
.
THANK YOU!!!
.
Sadly I have to wait till tuesday, but I’m counting the seconds till the bird is flying into my 7 stomachs… I’ve tried to eat the package immediately, because it was a turkey on it, unfortunately the package hasn’t a turkey taste… think the gravy-producer-guy should work on this deficit…
.
.
Also my dad brought a small gift to an older british lady who lives in my kraal. Except her own Moggie, who is since 16 years on her side , she is feeding some homeless kitties too. She has only her small widow’s pension, but she is a good soul and has always some kibble and tender loving cares for the street kitties . But I’ll bet some of her boarders aren’t homeless, they took only the chance for a second breakfast…
.
.
In 2009 her husband passed away on new years eve and now the holidays every year have some sad memories for her too. It’s not easy for her to live alone in a foreign country, so my dad and another family from ireland give her a little support if she has a doctors appointment or need someting from the supermarket, because she hasn’t a car or a driving licence. Without a car and with no help you are like buried here in the area where the crows are flying backwards – that’s for sure.
.

.
.
HAVE A GRATEFUL SATURDAY ALL
.

Easy what your Dad is doing for that neighbor woman is the true spirit of giving and earns a shining star…But my mom is wondering what “bread sauce” is? *snoogles*
Thanks Ginzmo ;o) I have no idea, a bread sauce is very british ;o) But I’ll bet it is yummy!!! I will tell you about on tuesay – if I had my turkey ;o)

What a lovely family you have xxx
Thanks Misaki – I hope the kitties like the treats ;o)
Very sweet dear Easy and Peeps
Thanks ;o)
You don’t want turkey in the gravy. “You are what you eat”.
hehe I would like it to be a turkey in gravy (except on thanksgiving or christmas) I could chew on me the whole time ;o)
Easy you and your family are so kind to make sure your British neighbor who’s on her own has everything she needs including a BEAUTIFUL package of goodies for Christmas (or Britmas which I guess SHE celebrates too!!). That is indeed the true spirit of Christmas – - – HOLIDAY HUGS FOR YOUR PAWRENTS AND YOU!!
Your Pal, Sammy
Thanks Sammy
) I think they are celebrating very british… her daughter, who lives on a channel island is here for the holidays and they can celebrate together
Oh goodie! I’m glad her daughter came to visit her. It’s tough being alone for the holidays. How’s Rod doing?
Sam
Me too, Sammy… otherwise we would have invited her, that’s for sure…so we had a special british guest instead of HRM ;o) Rod just asked “Da ya think I’m sexy”… mom said YES!, dad said pffff…. and I say: maybe ?
So glad it arrived Easy. We were hoping it would be there in time for Britmas. You all are so kind to the dear lady. We only recently have had Xmas dinner without having to do meals on wheels to peeps who are old and with nothing, They never wanted to come over so we took dinner to them every Christmas and holidays. Three cheers to you. Have a super Saturday.
best wishes Molly

Your Dad is the best! We try hard to make this time of year a giving time and we try to share what we have, even if it is the gift of ‘time’ that someone else needs to get somewhere. NOt hard to do at all really. ANd thank Cod you have the turkey gravy for Britmas!
That’s true Savannah…the gift of time is such an important thing, wish we had much more… haha now I have the turkey gravy and the bread sauce …happy Britmas !

)
OMG, this is a true “The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde”-story! Your Dad behaves like a real angel towards the old English lady but as an evil towards his Weimaraner and tries to drown him in the bathtub!
hahahaha that’s true … maybe I should supervise him…. while eating and drinking, seems that we have something in the water here
)
Yes, water should be avoided. I’m sure that after some bottles of red wine, his behaviour would change…
Have a wonderful Christmas holiday!!!! woo woo woo!
Same to you and your wonderful family dear Rumpy ;o)
